“Inteliam is driving a collective movement towards sustainability”
A few weeks ago, Zbeda Group, the largest aftermarket player in the Israeli market, completed its second Inteliam assessment. Eyal Zbeda, Chairman of the Group, accepted to share insights on how this platform is transforming their approach to ESG and driving continuous improvement.
How would you summarize your experience with Inteliam?
The Inteliam questionnaire is undoubtedly challenging but it serves as an excellent gateway into ESG.
The key to success lies in personal involvement across various departments, including logistics, finance, and processes. Their journey began with appointing an ESG officer to directly manage the solution — a crucial step in their engagement process.
Inteliam's strength lies in its practicality. It moves beyond theoretical concepts, helping us translate ESG principles into tangible actions.
The platform serves as a catalyst, pushing the organization to address aspects they might otherwise overlook in daily operations.
Your current score surpasses last year's. What actions led to this improvement?
Progress stems from implementing targeted changes across operations. The company improved documentation practices and introduced an Employee Volunteering Program. Environmentally, they implemented comprehensive waste separation, built an energy-efficient showroom, and eliminated single-use plastics by providing branded reusable items.
The most impactful change involved installing an intelligent lighting control system in their warehouse, resulting in 30% energy savings.
These initiatives, guided by our “Think Green, Work Healthy” philosophy, demonstrate that small, thoughtful steps can lead to significant improvements.
What advice would you offer to a company considering Inteliam's solution?
I would strongly recommend embracing Inteliam's solution. Its practicality and accessibility set it apart.
The questions are direct and demand concrete answers, making it an effective tool for businesses of all sizes.
My advice would be to appoint a dedicated ESG person within your organization, preferably at a higher level. Remember: it's a journey and Inteliam provides an excellent starting point.

What impact do you believe Inteliam is making in the automotive aftermarket?
Inteliam is driving a collective movement towards sustainability in our industry.
As more companies join and implement incremental changes, the cumulative impact grows exponentially. The platform's questions reflect a deep understanding of the market, making the solution particularly relevant for the automotive aftermarket sector.
Following this renewal, what are your future plans?
ESG has become an integral part of their annual work plan. They are developing initiatives for the coming year and remain committed to various long-term actions. They will renew with Inteliam next year, as the team has been incredibly supportive throughout the process.
