“Go ahead and start the journey! The sooner you begin, the quicker you'll see the benefits”

Örum, a prominent Finnish automotive aftermarket supplier and wholesaler, recently completed a comprehensive business and sustainability evaluation using Inteliam's solution. Nina Serlachius, Director for Logistics and Sustainability at Örum, discussed the initiative's impact.

Initial motivation

We wanted a solid benchmark and comprehensive evaluation to understand our current standing fully.

She emphasised that understanding their baseline was essential for planning future improvements, and they valued having an industry-specific assessment tool.

Evaluation scope

The assessment extended beyond sustainability expectations. The tool examined financial metrics, business expertise, and corporate processes alongside environmental considerations, providing holistic operational insights. Serlachius noted the interface was “user-friendly and well-designed, which streamlined the process significantly”.

Implementation process

Serlachius led the three-step implementation: familiarising herself with the platform, identifying appropriate team members for different evaluation aspects, and reviewing findings with leadership before submission. She characterised the timeline as “quick, effective and straightforward”.

Results and next steps

Preliminary results demonstrated strong performance while identifying improvement opportunities, particularly regarding sustainability initiatives. Örum plans to calculate GHG emissions using Inteliam's dedicated module and to refine key performance indicators, with another assessment scheduled for the following year.

Final recommendation

The sooner you begin, the quicker you'll see the benefits and improvements in your processes.
